Administration  |  Associate Director

BS, Berry College, 1995
MSS, United States Sports Academy, 2004

Mr. Morris serves as the school's Associate Director. "I believe every child can succeed if given the opportunity. Whether or not they take advantage of the opportunity is up to the individual."

Mr. Morris began teaching in Moultrie, Georgia in the fall of 1995. He has spent time at the middle school and high school level teaching a variety of subjects.

"I decided to make the move to Gray Stone because I was tired of dealing with students who did not want to learn," he explains.

Mr. Morris also serves as the Director of Athletics. "Athletics is an extension of the classroom," said Morris. "It is a fantastic opportunity for character development and leadership practice in a safe environment."

Mr. Morris lives in Albemarle with his wife, Paula, and his two daughters, Emily (12) and Zoe (8).

Andy Muccino

Physical Education  |  Instructor

B.S. Sports Medicine/Athletic Training, Barry University

I serve as GSDS’s Certified Athletic Trainer and Physical Education teacher.

I came to GSDS in January of 2009, moving from Palm Harbor, Florida with my wife, Jill, and daughters, Delaney and Norah.    For the previous six years, I had been an athletic trainer with the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball.  I had been assigned to teams located in Pulaski, VA (Appalachian League) Charleston, WV (South Atlantic League) Lansing, MI (Midwest League) before finishing my career in Dunedin, FL (Florida State League) garnering a Trainer of the Year Award before taking my place here with Gray Stone.

With regards to my position and responsibilities with Gray Stone Day School, I provide medical support to all student-athletes through game coverage, injury evaluation, rehabilitation, coordination with doctors, and training for staff and student assistants including American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED.  Along with the medical aspect of sports medicine, all insurance documentation and pre-participation physicals fall under my umbrella of responsibility; mandatory for all student-athletes prior to participating in any NCHSAA sanctioned sport.

Although my area of expertise is focused on sports, I am tasked with leading our incoming freshman in the world of Physical Education.  It is my hope that through each freshman’s experience in P.E., there will be foundation of enjoyment within the realm of participation in physical activity, indoors and out, with the focus on sportsmanship, cooperation and teamwork.
